Mit dem Casa Sosegada erzeugt Rafael Cambro einen großartigen Rotwein aus den klassischen Rebsorten der Region Valencia.
50% Anteil hat die Rebsorte Monastrell, international als Mourvèdre bekannt und von mir hochgeschätzt. Die andere Hälfte teilen sich alte, autochthone Rebsorten wie Arco, Forcalla, Bonicaire und Rojal.
Die Reben stehen im höher gelegen Teil der Gemeinde auf etwa 700 Metern Höhe, verteilt auf 14 Terrassen, eine frühmorgendliche Handlese ist hier obligatorisch. Die Trauben kamen zu 70% entrappt auf die Maische, vergoren wurde die Maische spontan, der junge Wein reifte nach Abschluß der Gärung 14 Monate im Betonei.
Nur etwa 4000 Flaschen werden von diesem großartigen Wein alljährlich erzeugt.

Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Februar 2026: „The 2023 Casa Sosegada was produced with 40% Monastrell, 40% Forcallà and the remaining 20% Arco, Bonicaire and Rojal from 5.5 hectares of young vines that Cambra planted on 14 small terraces on sandy and stony soils in a property called Casa Bosca, which was the name of the wines in the first vintages, but he had to change the name because of Luigi Bosca from Argentina. It fermented with some 50% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in 1,000-liter stainless steel vats and matured in raw concrete eggs for 18 months. This is a very harmonious and elegant blend, showing that the place is more important than the age of the vines. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.65 and 5.1 grams of acidity. It has an elegant profile, with beautiful tannins and great balance, and a dry, chalky finish. It's very harmonious and elegant, with a little plus. 5,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024.“
